stock quarter mile times?
ive searched google and cant find anything thats consistent. im seeing anywhere from 11.6 to 10.8 and mph from 120 to 128. wondering what a stock vtr with an alright and with a pro driver can pull off. mainly im after the mph. thanks

When they first came out several testers put the VTR in the high tens. I think Motorcycle.com ran a 10.83 which is the best I've seen for a bone stock VTR.

Stock in the 10's is going to be near impossible unless you're Jay Gleason. Us mortals will run 11.49/121. The hardest thing is keeping the front end down to get a decent 60 foot. Try a strap (but then it ain't stock...)

Also worth remembering- The times in the mags are adjusted for elevation, temp etc.
If you're asking what the average pretty competent rider could do on a VTR at his local track? That's probably mid to high 11s.
A true pro could put it in the low to mid 10s, after adjusting for atmospherics.

im probably in the 12s somewhere, lol. just rol;ling ont he throttle gradually and this thing gets wheelie happen, snapping it in first means instant wheelie i find. i cant imagine trying to launch one of these things. if i do ever go to the track what are the best ways to launch it? i know the ss guys usually slip the clutch from some real high rpms, id imagine this thing wouldnt need more than 4000 rpm with a slip and some throttle to get it off the line pretty hard
