Nice find. I'm torn between buying a Teknic expandable tank bag and something like this now. Looks like it would have enough storage to hold my camera gear but I'm wondering if it's secure enough with a bunch of crap in it. I wouldn't want it sitting on top of the rear pillion cover as it would probably scratch the paint moving around a little. Anyone tried one?

VTRumble is an unknown quantity at this point
That looks like a good idea, no straps rubbing the rear cowl. I'd also be curious to see how secure it is when installed, the thought of seeing somebody on the highway with one hanging off the side of the bike does give me an evil grin though (as long as it's not me).

My wife just got one for her 600RR and she loves it. It's not waterproof but they have rain covers available.

We also have the tank locker tankbag that mounts on a ring on the tank. I got this for both RRs because they have plastic tanks. I still use a magnetic for the VTR though.

Here's the installation of some of their gear http://www.luggagelocker.com/product-installation.htm#2

I like the tank locker attachment as well.

Hawkrider, has your wife had a chance to load up the bag and see if it is secure while riding around? The cinch straps seem like they would allow you to snug it down pretty well.

Yeah, it's VERY secure. Different bikes will have different size straps and such. Hers has one very large strap with a large section of velcro in the middle (under the seat) and another smaller one toward the front of the seat. She's a girl, so you know she carries a lot of **** on it. She's been riding to work more often than ever with gas prices the way they are and the fact that she needs to get her confidence up in preparation for our big trip this summer.

laptop

I am interested in the Laptop Luggage. I carry my laptop all the time, but am somewhat worried about vibrations and rain.

There is no perfect solution I guess. I am considering just getting a laptop sleeve and putting in my normal (and rather large) tank bag.

But this site is appealing.
