knock knock....

I posted a thread probably about a month ago about a real loud knocking nosie coming from the engine... I thought maybe the timing chain or something in that area broke or got loose.. But comes to find out from many peoples opinions from listning to it they all said that it was my valves knocking... Which makes since cuz the bike will run but there is just a real loud knock "clicking" noise... and if were the timing chain the bike would'nt run.. So has anyone messed with the valves before? Or even heard of this problem happening?? Is it possible that something in the whole valve set up broke, or just got real loose. Any advise or info would be very helpful.. thanks

you most likely need a valve adjustment.

Check the CCTs!!! These are the most common part of failures on superhawks and make a loud clicking noise almost like valve or rod bearing. I'm really surprised no one on this board mentioned this earlier. Search the board for cam chain tensioners or CCTs and see what I mean. Good luck! I hope its nothing $$$. :-)
