Unhappy I hate theives

Well over the course of this weekend my hawk was stolen. By the time I get the police over to file a report they found my bike mangled and I do mean mangled in a ditch. Being a poor guy with 2 kids and an exwife I only had liability. I'm looking at totally rebuilting the front end. I'm wondering if anyone would care to give me so tips as to what will and won't swap over so that I can rebuild her faster stronger better than she was before.... TOMisKING@aol.com please feel free to drop me a line with and hints or tips everything is appreciated.

Tom,

Sorry to hear the bad news but at least you're getting it back considering the insurance issue. Could be worse....

Anyway search the forum for front end ideas but if money is the biggest concern, going stock will probably be cheapest, followed by early cbr900r or f4i units. USD are going to be a lot more.

Thieves SUCK!

After hearing of your Hawk being stolen , and my buddies Cbr 600 being stolen less than 5 miles away from my house Tuesday ! I guess I saw it as a sign . So I went ahead and upped my insurance policy today to full coverage . $80 more a year with a $500 deductible . Not quite as much as I thought it would be . Seemed reasonable for a little peace of mind . The only bad thing is now I am not as worried about crashing it ! Knowing that I couldnt afford to replace it always kept me from pushing it too hard . Now I have to really exercise self control ! LOL

Sounds like the thief wrecked... hopefully they had serious injuries.

Good luck with the rebuild.
