I'm getting there too.

Had mine for sale so I started riding it to get a little enjoyment out of it since I bought it late last fall, too cold to ride.
Well, I'm digging it. And I've bought but not mounted Helibars, why mount them if I'm going to sell it? Well, last night I found an auction for some Two Bros pipes and bid pretty low just out of habit. Well I won them. So now I'm got the bars and the pipes.
Now I've got to mount them, and then it's really going to be hard to part with I think.

I took mine to the Dragon (US129, Deals Gap) for the first time last weekend. I wasn't even trying to go fast, just trying to be smooth and in proper position. I got to the overlook and stopped to take a break. I was shocked to see that I had eliminated the PO's chicken strips! This bike is so easy to ride. The more I ride it,the more I like it! I can't wait to get some sticky tires on it so I can REALLY see what it can do!

How was the traffic and police at deals? We're thinking of trailering down in May. I just bought a KTM Duke II and when I rode the Hawk yesterday I laughed my *** off at how great a bike it is. If I could get it to weigh 50lbs less I would sell the KTM. The Hawk still rocks.

Traffic was surprizingly low. I did see five cops while I was there. It is always better to ride during the week if you want to push it. Weekends are better for people watching, you get to see some really cool bikes there. If you come down get ahold of me, I'll go ride with you.

I'll definitely let you know, always good to have someone local to point out the good places to eat. We stay in Alcoa. We were planning to trailer down on a Sunday and ride during the week then trailer home on the Friday.

It is a very nice place, I was just there a few weeks ago on the VFR. Wish I had the SH there though. And I agree, every time I ride her I love it more and more. If I could find a girl as good as her I would be the happiest man alive hehe.
