How fast will it go?

Last year in Spokane Washington I drag raced quite a bit. Most untimed but a couple timed runs. On my bone stock bike other than 15/43 gearing I pulled an 11.09 second 1/4 mile @ 122mph and that was with a smoked clutch and toasted spark plugs (97hp at the rear wheel with one side exhaust open). This year I added a jet kit but almost stock jetting. The air up here in alaska is cooler so and with it running better I think I'll post better times.

What do you guys thing it will do? I'm hoping for high tens, optimistic is mid-high tens.

Yeah, and that's probably right at sea level and a professional in the seat. With minor mods and a really good launch I think you could probably pull off an 11. Try clutchless shiifting to improve your times (if you don't already).

Wow, talk about resurrecting old threads, lol. I also read somewhere, don't remember, that some group got the bike well into the 10's (10.8's) by strapping the forks and with a pro riding it.

Motorcycle.com went 10.80's without doing anything to it.

Yeah, I remember reading that too, and that's the number I remember, but I still remember someone doing better(?) by strapping the front down. Haven't dragraced mine yet, but look forward to it.

It's good fun but launch was a bitch, if I remember correctly my best time was an 11.2 I could never seem to beat my friend's TLS though and that made me mad.

2years ago at Bristol dragway(Bristol,TN) , with slip-ons, OEM air filter, cool conditions, and a set of B-Ax 003 tires. BlueRidgeBoy(Zae) and I ran 10.80- 10.90 consistently..
I laugh now. Zae and I made quite a few angery.. Busa, Gsxr,R1 riders. Consistent numbers.. That was a fun day..

I assume Zae and you were taking turns? You must have been going thru the traps in 5th at what speeds? I would have loved to see that.
