I took the bike for a ride today and it just died on the freeway. Lost all elec power and no juice when I tried to start it. Is this a battery issue or something worse?

I put the battery on my charger and it was showing a full charge after about 1 hour but still no power when I tried to start the bike.

+1...exact same thing happened to me...

 

Is it just me or is this an epidemic season? Maybe they all have the same warranty date & are failing in unison?

 

Well mines a 98 with 28k miles.

 

I have 2 98's and pre-emptively replaced them. Good thing.

 

i got a 98 - mine just went at 34k
