showa rear shock?

showa rear shock?

so my mech informed me today that me rear shock is showa. do hawks come factory with showa shocks?

Yes, but it's no good unless you have it re-valved/re-sprung by Jamie Daugherty.

Ha ha! Yeah, barring the very few exeptions, all Honda streetbikes come with Showa forks and shocks from the factory. Showa is just a brand, they have several OEM designs. They also have high-end race equipment but this is only available to factory race teams.

Don't be too bummed, Showa makes an excellent quality product. The only downside is they (Honda, that is) cheaped out with the valving to save a buck. Luckily that can be changed!

I believe Honda is owner, or part-owner, of Showa.......
