Compatible wheels

So I think I saw a thread with this answer, but I cannot locate it.

Any sets of wheels from other bikes that are compatible with SH? And also looking for 6" rear.

Correct on the wheels. I had them powdercoated black and put on the + 1 sprocket.

Those rims look really good. So a +1 is a 42t sprocket? How wide the rim?
I bet they're easier to wipe down and keep clean.

They are the same size as the stock rims, yes easier to keep clean and I think look better than the stockers. +1 indicates that the sprocket is one over the stock tooth count and is a common way to describe it. You may see -1, +2 and that would indicate minus1 tooth on the front and plus 2 on the back from stock.

Ok so that 900rr wheel bolts right up. What is necessary to use that matching f3 wheel? I've located a shop with the pair of rims, and now my head is kickin ideas.

Just to clarify:

F3 front wheel
900RR rear wheel

Both install as direct replacements for the VTR's stock wheels. Just pretend they are VTR wheels.

Thx for the clarification J

Are these wheels lighter than stock VTR, or just look good?

I'm pretty sure Jamie answered this question a few posts up. I doubt they'd be 5.0 inches

I believe the front wheel from a 94-97 VFR750 is also a direct swap. For the non-NA crowd, I think the fronts from the various CBR and VFR 400s are also straight swaps.

The CBR1000RR front wheel fits, but only if you are using CBR1000RR forks.

yep, and yep. vfr750 front wheels tend to be cheaper than f3, even though they are the same.
