I went for it and ordered a replacement front only Avon Azaro AV45 (ST). From what I can tell, the BT-020 is a ST tire, so they should be similar enough. Since a buddy of mine is getting some freakish mileage out of the Avon's, and I'm not a track junkie, I'd say they seem like the best value going.

Re: Cheap Rubber

Yeah, I missed it by about a day. I knew about the promo with about 400 tires left to go and didn't jump on it. I thought my tires were fine because I had so few miles on them. Then I went and checked them and realized they were shot. I went back and checked the promo, and was too late. My own fault. Oh well.

Ridenowonline.com have deal on Dunlop 208's claering inventory for the new Sportmax
Not a bad deal at all. I bought a set from Cycle Gear for around that price. Shipping and installation of course added to that, but I'm happy with the tires.

i'm running Pilot Roads right now and really like them. they are good in the rain and i push them just as hard in the twisties as i did the Diablo's. (NO CHICKEN STRIPS!!!)

the first 200 miles i was wondering about them(i guess they have a breakin period?), the rear spun up a couple of times and the front pushed once, but since i got over 200 miles on them they are working MUCH better. My brother got 5500 out of a rear pilot road on his TLR so i'm hoping for about the same.

with the diablos i was getting between 2500-2800 miles from a rear. front diablo looked great to 8500
