Ti = titanium needle.
Some have suggested the Ti needle wears out the brass guides in the carb prematurely. And the weight savings on a part that small is negligible. So I would get the non Ti one.

+1, although I recall Greg mentioning having the Ti kit for quite some time now with little or no wear. Still, I'd err on the cautious side without any other evidence to make me act otherwise.

I have the Ti kit and installed it ab out 6 years ago and have logged nearky 20 k with no problems thus far.

Thus the "some have suggested" statement. It shouldn't cause problems, but I don't really see an advantage to a Ti needle, yes it might be a quarter of a gram lighter, but other than that they would perform the same.

I spoke with Marc Salvisberg about the differences when I bought it. He said that over MANY miles the Al needle will show wear due to erosion from fuel. The Ti would not. Since I plan on keeping my Superhawk forever I figured why not.
