Adding LED signal mirrors and retaining regular signals

I want some more visibility, and I'm also thinking about replacing my bar end mirrors after I failed to ID smokey last week (80 in a 65... ). Thought I'd get some of them new fangled mirrors with integrated LED signals.

If I keep my regular signals, will that stress the electrical system at all? Should I replace the regular signals with more LEDs? What if I add a second set of signals on the rear as well, for a total of 8 lights (4 at a time)? Serial or parallel?

I don't really know what to ask or else I'd google it.

No, it won't stress your electrical system one bit... In fact most of it will like that you add more stuff, as in the R/R has an easier time...
