So since I finished school 2012 on the east coast I decided to ship the bike to family that lives in Cali. The bike sat in cali for a year and half while I tried to find time to get down from Canada and ride it. Having sat for so long without a start, and without fuel stabilizer from what I recall it was a bit of a rough start but got her going. No problem once it was warmed up.

I was staying in the LA area so I checked out the best roads I could find in a days-ride-radius. Some of the best riding I have experienced in my life! Also lots of respect for Cali drivers! I have never felt so much respect for following distance, and paying attention/respect for lane splitting/motorcycles in general.

I found a nail in my back tire as I was pulling out of the garage to start day 2. I went to a small local bike shop that predominantly deals with vintage bikes and the owner put a plug in for me on the spot. Held pressure for the rest of the trip.

In some areas 6000-7000ft elevation there was snow on the mountain, it was also notably colder here.... and the bike had noticeably less pep.

Came across some wild life in the desert mountains. Was coming into a left hander about 55mph and leaned over and saw this thing crossing the center line as I went by. Stopped and went back for a photo op, then shoo'd it off the road.

Cant wait to go back and do it again.

The bike will need some new clutch plates since I noticed some slippage on hard pulls right after upshifts. Other than that it's going strong for just past 70000miles

It certainly is a beautiful part of the US. You simply must get to Highway 1. Be very careful w/ planning fuel stops though. It's stunning! Have fun and be safe.
