Back on group after MANY years

99 Superhawk. Bought it new in 2000 as a leftover. Rode it for ten years myself then shoved it an outdoor shed until the other day. My daughter wants me to fix it up so she can go riding with the group.
i put a battery in it, cleaned mouse house out of air box. and got it started. Seems to be okay but will need lots of TLC. NEED HELP IN THE FOLLOWING:

1. Instructions on jet kit install. I Have all pilot and mains, needles, and drill bits, Lost instructions.
2. Good instructions on valve lash procedure
3. Will need pointer on seals for master and slave cylinders on all hydraulics.

Just turned 75 and not very good at getting around computer forums. Please be patient with me if I ask dumb question on how to search.through all the threads here.

THANKS in advance for any help,
M C Ayres

MC, the factory service manual is a free download. If you don't have it, look here:

Valve adjustment is in there.

Clutch hydro system:

Jet kit I'd recommend against. Before you do anything like that, tell us what you have and we can steer you in the right direction.

THANKs for the reply,

Remus high mount carbon slip-on exhaust.
Also have D&D MotoGP style reverse cone megaphone full exhaust.(These only work at High RPM very lean on bottom end)
VERY low restriction air cleaner. (What amounts to screen wire in place of stock air cleaner element, just enough to keep large rocks out and removal of snorkel)
Pair block-off
Stock timing rotor
20K miles
dropped gearing 1 tooth on engine and up 2 teeth on rear. (I'm not a high speed rider , just like quick runs to 100 or so.

I was thinking of just shimming carb needles and upping main jet 1 or 2 steps and see results rather than aftermarket jet kit.
