Another new SH owner..

Ok, its official. After searching around, I contacted VoodooDog, who had his 00 SH up for sale. The deal was done and at 2:00 am on Thursday morning I jumped in the truck and headed north. 870 miles and 13 1/2 hours later (Tampa to Louisville), I arrived on his front doorstep. Geez is it cold up there! I feel like I stole his teenage daughter from him...I think he actually had a tear in his eye (or maybe it was just the freezing weather). Anyway, we shook hands and I promised him his beautiful yellow SH (you'd never believe this bike is 8 years old, his pictures just didn't do it justice!) was going to a good home. In the truck it went, off I went and stopped finally that night just south of Chattanooga. Got home the next morning and tucked the new toy in line with the rest of the stable:

BTW, VooDooDog is a great, standup guy. The bike was perfect, just as he said. Thanks, T!

Nice...

I gotta tell you... As much as I LOVE blue... I remember seeing a yellow superhawk on craigslist back when i lived in DC, and till this day... I still remember thinking how sexy it was.... That color yellow just stood out great... very nice looking...

AND NICE SET OF TOYS....

BTW... the Vette reminded me.... I'm working at a Chevy dealer right now, and we got our 08 Z06 in yesterday, and put it on the showroom floor today...

$76000 + worth of vette at that...

08 Z06 (7 liter)
targa top (removable hard top)
Victory Red in color
Ebony interior
Gun Metal colored rims, with HUGE red calipers shining through
Heads up display
Navigation in dash
6sp manual transmission

you name it.. its got it... and at just over $76000, it should...

Wow, nice chicken dude! That's a hell of a trip too! 13 hours! And I complained about checking out a SH in San Diego because it's a 3.5 hour drive! Either way, good for you! Quick question though... is there any point to having 2 sport tourers? I know it's a "sujective" question, but I was just curious about your thoughts on it. It's also a vfr right? Looks freakin SHIBBY!

Actually, my wife and I both ride. The VFR and the GB500 are hers. The ST and now the SH are mine. That's one of the reasons I bought the SH. I needed a sport ride to play with whenever she got the urge to bring out her GB...

Thanks for the welcome!

Nice! I too have VFR's and VTR's. A pair of each. My street SH is a twin (no pun intended) to your new addition.

Excellent. I had a VFR and replaced it with the ST for more long distance travel, although we rode to California and back this summer and my wife did the trip on her VFR with no problems. I did love the VFR and the SH is even more fun!

Now I've done it...

Great. Got the first ride in on the SH yesterday and the bike is awesome! It was a beautiful day here (mid-70s, sunny..sorry northern dudes..). My beautiful wife was along on her VFR and (unfortunately) we traded bikes for the ride home. That reminded her she wants a new CBR600RR to go in the stable as well...here we go again...

That's OK it was 65 here in SW PA today and looking for the same tomorrow. Not the norm! But you take what you can get here in the north this time of year.
