Another CCT Thread

I'm not a victim! haha...

I finally replaced my CCT's this morning in about 2 hours with manual CCT's from ebay (some random brand, they look identical to APE's but $30 cheaper), thanks to lazn's PDF writeup.. it was actually really easy, you just need to right tools. It took me about 2 hours total.. My stock CCT's lasted the bike 17,500 miles.. I didn't want to push the issue further...

Thanks lazn for the excellent writeup, and here's to another hawk not meeting the dreaded CCT death!

I felt on helluva lot better riding my bike after I replaced the CCTs. Mine had 40k+ plus miles on it. I just had a nagging feeling the whole time I was riding it. Lazn did a real good job on that writeup. IMHO a must read for all new Superhawk owners with the original CCTs.

I agree..thanks to Lazn's instructions, I felt very competent doing this procedure myself.I am most certain that I saved my motor from an early death.

I must put in that I just compiled other people's work into that pdf.

But I am glad people are finding it useful.
