It's not as easy as you would think... You have to be a really good shot to pass, after all, if you pull your weapon they want you to be able to hit your target!

We need to give a name to our little posse like "Texas Crew" or something. That way we can just post our rides on the group rides section and we dont have to spell out "Austin, New Braunfels, San Antonio, Round Rock, San Marcos, Blah, Blah, Blah... group".

I'm ok with 1000 at the cafe in Wimberly. Rode out to Bee Caves this afternoon just to look at the lake - still pathetic. You wanna ride more we could try a new place in Dripping Springs if you want to come North a little further. Nutty Brown Cafe does a huge Sunday business. I think Randy has been there recently for lunch. Hehehe - watch out for the propane truck.

I did a little gear shakedown this afternoon. The Draggin' jeans felt real good with that extra layer. Got a lite weight neck sock that works just great on these chill mornings. The heavy one I got from OzFirestorm is just too hot for these temps. Today was absolutely beautimous. Clear blue - not a cloud - 73F. Tomorrow is more of the same. It's real dry so the chance of dew on the roads is nil. The Superhawk is running fab in these cooler temps. See you in Wimberly.

My bike is running well in this weather. I can't even get it to lift the front wheel in first.
I'm suspecting either extremely lean conditions, which I'll check the plugs for, or something else is wrong. Once I get the correct exhaust gaskets and a new air filter, mine is filthy, and it still doesn't run right, I will probably take it to a dyno place. Maybe they can tell me why it's running so poorly.

And by chance, do any of you have an engine hoist? I need to lift the bike up by the frame so I can install the new forks.

I have a 2x6 strongback installed in the ceiling of my shop. It will float a 600lb bike all day for weeks. Three hooks so you choose your grip. Come by and take a look Nick. Two days - it's yours.

Hmm, I may take you up on that offer. I need to make some wheel spacers, get a brake line, and fashion a caliper adapter for the forks. I will probably call All ***** bearings and see if they can look up the bearing specs for a WR250 and a Superhawk so I can see if these bearings and races will be compatible.
Once I do all that, and have all the parts, I can swap the forks.
