How not to impress your friends.....

Last time I did the same thing was after 5 pints of Old Speckled Hen leaving a pub at night with a pillion on a ol' Suzuki 650 Katana UJM many moons ago when I was a young 'un. Funny thing was as I was laying on the ground gigglin' like a school girl was when a total stranger stopped , leant down and told me it was his old bike and had a spare key for it if I needed it and then wandered off enigmatically into night. I learnt a valuable lesson that night, though quite what it was eludes me ;-)

NOT to start an arguement, IMHP the engine RPM's never got high enough to even consider 1) burning the tire, 2)carrying the wheel from the pavement.. to even stunt...
just an opinion....

Painted road markings are notoriously slippery. 3-4 seconds into the vid while accelerating he's right over the the double lines, rear wheel skips out and his front wheel goes into a wobble, down they go.
You can practice the kind of slip to expect over manhole covers etc in the wet to get a feel of the movement and how to recover, though best don't do it with pillions aboard ;-)

White Lines can be extremely useful to bikers to help us read the road and planning our next move. However, the painted surface of white lines becomes very slippery when wet! Try to avoid riding over the white road paint. If it’s safe, ride between “SLOW” the letters on the road and take extra care when filtering, avoiding riding over directional arrows and centre white lines. Manhole covers and tar bands on the can also cause like problems. Position yourself so that the majority of your weight is as close to the front of the bike as possible. This will help keep the bike stable should your bike tyre “slip out”.
