So I rode one of my project bikes i just "finished" to work yesterday. Its a 1976 cb360t. Well i got off the highway and the thing was pissed. It stalled out right away and refused to kick start. So i pop started it and off i went. After work Ive got a crowd of co-workers outside marveling at my horrible little bike so i start it up to let them hear it run. One of the kids asks why theres smoke coming from my triple area and put his hand down there to investigate. well.... he gets burned and starts swearing and waving his hands around wildly. apparently my throttle cable had shorted out and was about 300 degrees. The plastic on it was melting and it was smoking. Needless to say. I ended up getting a ride home with my tail between my legs. man what a crappy day.
