FS: 1998 Superhawk with lots of mods - SOLD
Looking possibly sell my superhawk if I can get the price I'm looking for. I've had this bike for a year and a half and it's been my baby. This would be a great bike to upgrade to from an sv650 and is a great all around bike. The bike has typical wear and tear for an 8/9 year old bike. There are some scratches on the rear seat cowl and 1 on the rear plastics. The cowl should be easy to fix though (needs a repaint anyways). The bike has never been dropped, tracked, or stunted. The bike DOES need a little work. I've never remounted my rear signals - I was planning on just getting an undertail. The front brakes do need a rebuild sometime soon. I've been riding it but I know with a rebuild they'll be more firm and stop better then right now.

also to add to that. I MIGHT part but really not sure. I'm doing this cause I want to try and get an rc51 and wouldn't be able to with the hawk. though if all I can get is 2500 for it.... then I'm keeping it

You're keeping it! Dude, for all you've been through - naw - not a chance! Besides what would we do around here! Whether you get a 51 or not you can always hang with us!
You know how the say to look at this guy or that guy when you're down. And you think to youself, man, I'm shoveling **** just as fast as I can but I ain't got it THAT bad! Then you feel better!
When I feel like that I remember when you were trying to get your Superhawk jetted. It went on for days!

it appears that I'll likely keep it. The rc51 I want I won't be able to get (not enough time to get the money + no offers for the bike that are reasonable). I got the job I was hoping for and I can buy a few things for this bike. I'm gonna save for a gsxr 750 I believe next fall or winter.

Congrats on the new job and glad you're hangin' around! I did not understand the lure of these smaller bikes until I rode my kid's cbr600. They are a hoot. I was reading that more development has been done and is being done with this size bike than any other in the marketplace. They just seem to get smaller and more powerful every year.

I saw the bike last week, she looks great.
Just waiting to hear back from Engine now to confirm a closing date.

I picked the bike up this morning with my father, completing the business with the seller with little hassle.
Got her home, registered with the auto tag place, and just got back from freezing my toes off to test ride the baby around town.
She's in great shape, and I can tell I'm going to have a lot of fun with it.
Thanks again for the sale!
