May go look at a Superhawk that a guy has for sale . He says it runs fine but if you turn it off it won;t restart when hot. Will; restart after it cools... Sounds like a starter issue to me.. heatsink in the starter. Anybodu got any ideas or should I skip it.

hi im only a newbie here , but in my experiance this is usually a symptom of low compression as a result of tight valve clearances / worn piston rings or badly pitted valve/ seats , could be cheap to fix could be expensive .
bike would have to be cheap (imo )

kinda sounds starter related as well, a bad armature could cause that symptom.

 

Won't start....? Will it not turn over, or will it turn over and not fire?
