Water pump bearings

G'day.

We have had an Aussie member with an new VTR have a water pump bearing failure, and another member reporting an as yet undiagnosed noise in this area.

Is the bearing suspect in the VTR?

Is oil supply to this bearing a problem? (I cannot see a direct oil feed to it, it seems to be supplied by splash only).

If this is a problem, would perhaps a sealed bearing be the answer?

Any thoughts guys?

Cheers,
Shayne

No experiences guys?

I guess that means that there have been no problems then.
