anybody know a good way to get the water pump impeller out, without a press... or without resorting to hammer work?

new tactic - put the whole case cover in the freezer... remove about 3 hours later. grab aold of the case, outside facing up, then bang the impeller shaft on your thin, cheap apartment carpet. came out no problem!
