TPS adjustment?

When adjusting the TPS, I get it very close to 500.

However, this is with the iginition key turned ON, but the manual says the the On/Off switch must be set to ON as well.

The moment I set the switch to ON, the reading goes to about 1885.

So which is the correct way of setting the TPS?

Reards,
Gerrit

You are mixing 2 separate measurements. The 500 OHMs reading is taken while probing the sensor itself while unplugged form the harness. The 5.0 VOLTs it taken with the sensor unplugged, but while probing the wiring harness itself with power ON. What you seem to be doing is measuring ohms while applying voltage to the circuit. That can be very bad for your multi-meter. Re-read the procedure in the manual while referencing the pictures and you will find the error.
