tps adjustment... link doesn't work
i figured since my bike is in pieces I'd adjust my tps but the knowledge base article link is dead... so uh... someone have a link laying around or wanna write up a how to of what to check and how to adjust?

When you find out how to adjust it let me know.. Cause I adjusted mine the way it said in the Service Manual and it didnt work at all. Left mine at 850 ohms closed. Runs great now, Ran like *** at 500 ohms or whatever the manual says. I guess the TPS just decides ignition advancing. Still not sure on this one...

My experiment with the TPS adjustment mimicked the results of Hawkboy. I am now back to the excessively high (forget what it was exactly but beleive it was 790 or so) and enjoying better throttle response. The only change I found in setting it to 500 ohms was a noticealy softer power delivery in the low-end (hardly a desirable outcome). I realize some swear by it, I swore at it.
good luck

well I don't even know how to do it so... When I helped my friend work on his sv650 his tps was real easy to adjust. I don't see anyway to adjust the tps at all... Granted I didn't real the manual on it either cause well... I've never been concerned about it

I used the procedure in the Repair Manual and it's perfect. What problems are you guys having? I found that the most difficult part was keeping the ohm meter leads on the correct prongs of the sensor. Mine's got a Factory Pro ignition advancer with the TPS set right at 500 ohms. Everything is A-OK!
