TPS on a 98

Was talking with a guy from FACTORY PRO. Trying to eliminate a flat spot I'm feeling at around 7000. He told me I needed to check my TPS. Has anyone else done this?

You will need a multimeter to check the resistance on the top two pins. It should be right around 500 ohms. There is a post in the knowledge base section with a good how to.

I'm not an expert, but I'd have to say no.
