I tried searching but couldn't find it.
I had my speedo go out on me this morning. I was riding for about 5 minutes then I looked down and something seemed strange and I realized I was cruising in 6th gear at 4500 RPM and the speedo read 0mph

I figured I would look at it after the ride and 20 minutes later it started reporting again.

I washed the bike the other day and splashed some water up into the instrument gauge area to wash it off. It was also raining this morning.

Does it sound like it just had some water contamination in the housing or is there another problem that is eminently awaiting my gauges.

 

I try to avoid getting water on the instrument cluster, but if it's working now don't worry about it.

Wasn't it windy down in SD this morning? It was blowing like hell up here in San Clemente. Glad my wife and I did a ride yesterday.
