Slipon Temp Question

Well, I finally got my D&D Carbon slipons this week. I installed them yesterday and they sound great. I am running the stock air filter and have not rejetted.
I have not had any backfiring or power issues, but did notice the left exhaust pipe had warmer exhaust exiting the pipe than the left.

Is that normal, or a sign that a jet kit and adjustments are in my immediate future?

I am not sure it has anything to do with the exhaust. It happens with my stock exhaust, I am wondering if it has anything to do with which cylinder is warming faster than the other or not???

Well, that makes me feel better as it happened right after it warmed up.
I never noticed it before. I wasn't aware that one warmed faster or before the other.

it is simply related to the management of exhaust gas flow in the header, nothing to be concerned about

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input, so I am no longer worried about it now.

One thing I did wonder about, was should I adjust the idling on my bike?
It seems to idel at 15 when it was 13 before the can swap.

Oh, and D&D's are LOUD, but I love the sound. It makes the bike sound mean as hell.

a rise in idle speed could indicate a lean condition in the carburetion

Reread your first post and edit which side is hotter. I'm assuming it's the left side.

This is what I was referring to.

Straight from the Department of Redundency Department.

Yeah, usually the left can is hotter. This is due to the restriction in the right side header just before the midpipe. Some have ground/cut theirs out.
