Anyone know good places to tap oil pressure/temp?

Hey guys, I'm looking to hook up an oil pressure gauge and oil temp gauge to see where things run at. Anyone have a preferred place to drill/tap into?

thanks

for pressure, I was wondering if I could just tap into the oil pressure idiot light with an electric gauge. I know you can do this in some cars, but wasn't sure on the bike... Temp is another deal though, and I'd hate to have to drill a hole in my unmolested engine.

As far as I know you can simply remove the original oil pressure sender, and install a threaded oil pressure hose attachment for your gauge. I did this on a truck I had. the oil pressure switch quit, and replacing it cost more then the whole cluster. AS for temp, that is a tough one... I wonder if there is such a thing as a replacement drain plug with a temp sensor built in. It would be the perfect placement. I would maybe look into a sensor that has the same threads as your drain plug. Then you aren't drilling into anything, I would cringe to have to do that!!!

I know they sell inline 250 degree transmission temp senders for cars and trucks, I would think you could adapt one into the oil cooler line. here is a kit I found with a T that goes in the rubber line so you get the idea - I have seen them that work with steel line but couldn't find a quick example. SummitRacing.com or Jegs.com may have something.
