Re Jetting

Hi all, I'm rejetting my hawk and I can't find the damn mix screw thingy. I've got some pictures here, if somebody could point it out to me that'd be excellent. Thanks!

Make sure you only work on one carb at a time, since some parts aren't interchangeable between carbs (main jets and emulsion tubes).

Before you ask, yeah it takes a special tool... or you can cut/dremel a flat head into it

The jet kit I bought gave me a drill bit specifically to drill that little piece out . Thanks for the help!

There is nothing that needs to be drilled...... that drill is in case there is a sheet metal cover pressed in place over the adjustment screw.

Wish I woulda known that 10 hours ago....which brings me to my next question.

So I drilled out part of the screw. I have reason to believe the screw didn't turn that much while I was drilling and I just took the top 1/4" off. It's not open or anything. Does the screw still function? As in does that 1/4" I took off need to be there? And if I could find a way to turn the screw should everything function okay?

Dremel a slot in it and remove it. Then go to the Honda dealer and order a new one.

A good start on pilot screw adjustment is 2.5 turns out from "lightly" bottomed out.

Oh, and when you initiate a thread with a technical question, it's a good idea to check it frequently since there are a lot of guys with very good info.

Because I'm stupid, I'm going to ask: Is #6 the pilot screw that I want to replace?

Thanks all!
