Alan, thanks! That's about what I had envisioned. This does look like it would work well. There was another post about one-way bleeders but they sounded like replacements for the stock bleeder nipples and prone to failure. Were you able to zero in on a supplier of these?

as i said previously Hein Gericke UK sell them and the only thing that came up from me searching for the US was Fairchildsports.com who sell Hein Gericke items so maybe they can help you if not try a Quad centre (atv) as my son got this from his work (atv) other than that i suppose i could get them hear and post to the US.

Now I remember your previous post, thanks! Most of what I see from HG is apparel. I will dig around a little this afternoon and see what I can find. Will post up from here for the others. I will have time.

Yes HG sell kit but bike parts aswell maybe Fairchild do the same but not on there web addy i dunno.

Well its 8.30 pm here had really bad winds today (for the uk anyway) and now its pissing it down.
I wish we had a heat wave right now as there would be some loud exhaust notes rumbleing away lol

I think that's it, Kelsey! Alan said his son worked in an ATV shop. This is much closer to his picture than the one I found and I like the price!!! I think I'll order one this afternoon! Very good! Thanks, again! I think you should start a new thread now that you've located it. The Fairchild - HG link was largely a no-go!

Hi Guys so it looks like you can get sorted now failing that i have used a 50mm syringe before now,attach a small length of tube to srynge attach the other to bleed nipple,pump lever,draw the srynge up feeling the suction in the srynge,open the nipple,watch the air being sucked out,close nipple when no more bubbles or suction is present,repeat process.Hope this helps if you want pics let me know.Dont know where you could get the srynge i got from my local hospital free of charge.
P.S its slightly more difficult to do on your own,by this i mean pumping lever,drawing srynge,open bleed nipple,watching fluid,closing nipple.As the srynge draws the fluid through very quickly.

The problem I've found with the Mity-vac and the like is that when you put a vacuum on the bleeder and you open the bleeder air is sucked past the threads and back up into the bleeder. This makes it difficult to tell when you're fully bled. One solution is to dab some grease around the threads. The other solution is to use teflon tape on the threads, but that requires removing the bleeder, which can get messy if not done correctly.
I think the check valve is the best answer to the single person bleed scenario. I may have to pick up one of those myself.

Yes Greg air does tend to enter through the thread on the bleed nipple,it does on the oneway bleeder i have,and thats exactly what i did use teflon tape to sort it,i did mention this on the 'Brake Mod Thread',ive also used a 50ml srynge as said before with great results but its a little tricky doing everything on your own this way.
