ok and it happened again

i have another issue. alright reving about 2- 2500 rpm stady throttle (in neutral) the engine sputters and drops about 500 rpm and then comes right back.... it dose this every few seconds.
i am thinking it is the carb but i am not sure what the problem might be or where to start looking. can anyone help?

well I wouldn't be a good candidate to tell you as mine is awaiting a new r/r, but mine does the same thing around 2200-2500rmp it hesitated and sputters (even pops some) anything over or under it runs ok. I don't get the 500rpm ever tho it's lowest is 1000 rpm on idle (usually is 1200rpm).
anywho I am watching your post as well to see if maybe its carb or not then it tells me if I also need to take mine and get carbs sinc'd (betting on that being it).

if u search the forum its been discussed quite a few times on how to fix it. or just dont hold it at that rpm, you shouldnt be riding in that range anyway.

as I am not technically savvy on messing around with a carb I just ignore it and ride around the little quirk. my bike only has 11.2k on it now.
