oil leak.. punishment

So ive discovered an oil leak... all signs are pointing to the front sprocket shaft seal but i still have to remove the cover to confirm this...

Although this is providing more then adequate chain lube, im a little concerned about long rides :-P

Maybe Im being punished for cleaning all the grease and crud around the sprocket but i wasnt aggressive at all, oh well ill find out soon enough

However, after countless pages of searching, i have not found one instance of this seal leaking... has anyone ever seen this?

Its all good guys... just took off the sprocket cover to investigate and no leak... while doing so i remembered i soaked the chain in oil for a few months about 6 months ago, must have all come loose from my first ride the other day..

I feel like an ***... admin you can delete this thread if you feel the need :-P

I think leaving this thread up would be a fitting punishment.

I thought that it was a helpful post. It serves as a reminder to do the cheap stuff first and that not every problem is a catastrophe.
