Oil cooler line modification

Helo! i'm from quebec, canada. i'm building a fighter out of a low-sided hawk i bought real cheap...
i'm going single rad and lower mount oil cooler. So, i need to shorten the oil cooler line. i'm wondering of some have done it before with only a flexible hose with hose clamps on cut steel lines.

if it's not applicable, then where to buy those fitting for a braided line? i cant seems to find them on either jegs and sunnitracing

thanks a lot!
i'll post pics when the bike is done
