My Hawk will run and at idle it sounds fine but when im in gear and i get to about 3.5k revs it starts making a weird clicking noise and it isnt making any power. What are some possible problems?

 

More info needed about the bike and any history of the problem.

 

I laid down the bike and then I fixed up the broken parts and changed the oil as well as having the clutch flushed. I took it out for a ride and it seemed to be running fine for a bit but as i took it down the highway running it through the powerband it suddenly started making a clicking sound at the 4k part of the rev range and wasnt putting power to the wheel like it should almost like if its the clutch slipping. The engine did run for about 25-40 seconds after the crash at idle speeds.

 

Has it got manual CCTs?

When it was on its side was the oil light on when running?

 

Yes it has manual ccts and i dont think it was but i was sprinting over to punch the kill switch so i didnt look at the oil light closely.

 

How loud/frequent is the clicking? Does it match the rpm's or throttle? Does it sound metallic or like maybe a loud spark?
