Hello everyone! I just bought a 2000 super hawk and i have a few issues that i could your help with. I’m pretty new to bikes and don’t know much so here are some of the things I could use some help with. First is the indicator. They don’t really work but sometimes the right with will work and then sometimes the left will work. I can hear it clicking but it is a very fast clicking. The only other issue is that I can’t get the steering to lock when I’m trying to park it. I pulled it all the way to the left and right with no change. Any help with these issues would be awesome!
Hey there, I’d check the fuse for the indicators, lights bulbs then check the wiring themselves. Should be a good start. As for the steering locking, my 04 996 locks by turning all the way to the left and with a few jiggles of the ignition to “lock” position it will hold it in lock. If not it could be the lock and tumbler is faulty and might need to be swapped out. hope this gets you on the right track 🏍
So I got both of them fixed! the blinkers just needed some WD-40 on the switch and for the steering lock I was turning the wheel to far. Once I pulled away with out little it locked good! thanks for the help.

If your are brave enough, open the left switch gear housing and clean out the 21yr old grease and replace with some dielectric grease. WD40 is just ok for a temporary fix on some things. Long term not so good for real lubrication, especially locks.
