Motor connections question

OK so the motor is nearly swapped but what are the large nipples on the top of the cylinder heads? Pair system? I blocked off the pair valves so can these be covered? Also where does this small connector from the front of the motor go? I think its the pulse generator but cant find the connection

Those large nipples are for the vent lines to the air box. Not sure about connector

That looks like the return cooling circulation pipe from the carbs. Refer to page 115 in the official VTR service manual.

+1 Show us where it comes from.

And the other connector does go to the one of the bottom nipples on your front carb.

OK found that out when I went to reinstall the carbs. Now what are these hoses off the carbs?

One curveball is that some of the hoses were still on the new motor so there were some doubles. Plus I have several other excuses if you're not buying that one.....

Keep 'em coming! I forgot to actually hook up the fuel hoses when I took the carbs out a few weeks ago. But, I did remember to hook up the petcock vacuum line and hit the starter. End result: spewed gas all over my rear cylinder... that was a good one!
