Longer throttle cables and.....

Still on my 954 front swap stuff.
Had to tweak a few things and Dremel a couple of teeny spots on the fairing underneath as the bottom triple bolts were hitting and wrangled the horn up and out of the way as well. Now I am trying to get the dang throttle cables and brake lines to work. Looks like I need about two extra inches on the throttles and some angled end fittings on the brake lines....aaargh! Any of you know of longer throttle cables? Must be someone out there as many have gone to regular bars on top of the triples.........I'd hate to have make cables from scratch...I've done it but it's a pain.

Sorry don't have a length for you but I used VFR cables (02-present) on my current superbike bar swap.

Got a friendly dealer? Go to their parts dept. when it's slow and have them match up a set.

Thanks SuperB, just hit Ebay and there are many cheap ones from earlier vfrs. Do you know the difference? They look the same but....

Motion Pro made a set longer for my conversion on an SV650S. I gave them the model bike and how much loner than stock they needed to be. Fir perfect and top quality.

I recall it was around $60 for the pair. Just call the direct and bypass the local dealer....

Hey,
I also have the 954 fork in my SH. Got it with wider fork bridges even and my throttle cables still fit. A bit straighter, but it's ok. Got it quite close to the fairing. Works without any probs...

Thanks all, for the input. I am using the 954 triples too and they are wider. I am riding again but when at 3/4 to full lock, left or right, the throttle cables are very stretched and kinked, respectively, and longer ones would allow me a bigger loop and avoid all that. I'd hate to be pulling in tight to my garage at almost full lock right and have the throttle stick wide open...

+1 for Motion Pro they made longer cables for my 1/5 race throttle install. $30 a cable. Good luck
