Is it 5 loose wires... no connectors? What colors are they?
BTW, welcome to the forum Eddie!

no three are in a connector type plastic covered thing doesnt look like it will plug up to anything though the wire in it are black, yellow, and red then there is two seperate wires a blue and yellow im guessin those are for the turn signals but im not sure what the ceramic resistors are for they came in the box also

The yellow connector plugs into the light bulb socket. if you plug it into the socket and don't get any power flip it around. And yes, the other 2 wires are for your turn signals, I forget which color goes to which side, but that won't be hard to figure out.

P.S. I came across a good VTR fan if you are still in need of one, still no front stay though.

I didn't have a problem wiring mine but I can't quite figure out what to do with the resistors. I know they are there to slow down the blinker. Do I just connect them to the negative wire and ground to the chassis?

Well **** me, just put the resistor between the + and - of the blinker leads (coming from the bike) and it's like the blinker took a xanax (finally). This is a great little tail light, just needs some basic instructions with it.
