How the heck do I get at the bottom bolt to torque it? my wrench is to close to the plate just above the steeringhead bearings to place hex bit in capsrew head.

I just tightened mine until I couldn't move the bar when pulling on them. I bought mine used so they didn't come with any paperwork for a torque spec - what should it be btw?

superhawk22 is an unknown quantity at this point
I always keep mine just tight enough that they won't move by pulling but if I give them a good shot they will. I do this because as you know they're too expensive to have them bend in a fall. This way they'll move if I go down, of course if I go down at the track the bars might be the last of my concerns!
