Woo hoo! Figures it would be a "free" fix, and a vague one at that...

naaah. now you've learned something. have a little confidence. make yourself a little carb synce tool for 5.00 and get those carbs synced. You may have to buy a carb fitting for the front carb for the quick set-up if you don't already have, but this is only a 3.00 fitting.

Perseverance paid off huh. glad you got it resolved/

I already use the yardstick method for syncing and I have put the fitting on the front and routed new vacuum line to the left side of the bike to make things easier... I will be syncing them today

Sometimes just taking things apart and putting them back together solves the problem. When I was teaching automotives, I'd tell my students to do something a certain way. If they did it a different way, but it solved the problem, I'd tell them "You can't argue with success".

Now go out and ride the 74 and the 243 to Banning.

I'm usually riding the far west end of the 74, Ortega Highway, about twice a week. As a matter of fact, I rode Ortega yesterday and today. But my favorite little stretch outside of Hemet is the 243 between Mountain Center and Idyllwild. Then there's the first 9 miles on the 243 going uphill from Banning.

oh man I haven't been all the way up for so long... ..... That will be my next trip for sure..... I usually just go back down towards Lake Hemet and stop there for a few and then head out towards Anza and back around to Hemet....
