Interval for MCCT adjustment?

Guys, I just installed MCCT on my bike 3 months ago. but seems to have this ticking noise coming back from the engine. max mileage is only abt 4000km. it should not get loose so quickly right?

The intervalls are about the same as valve adjustments... But a follow up question, is it ticking with a "cold" engine? If so, that's normal... The CCT's should be set to be at the correct tension when the engine is at working temps, so it will rattle slightly as it warms up... If it's the other way around, it might be an idea to adjust it, but beware doing things without knowing, can cause more damage than leaving it alone...

it's hard to determine because these motors have a personality all their own, maybe character as a positive descriptor, but noisy isn't unusual. It's also hard to determine here because as tweety notes, adjust with a warm engine is best and he described this process elsewhere herein.

Since you apparently installed them yourself, take 15-30min to check the tension with the motor running and answer your question for sure.

Before you do this, note your present settings by counting threads to see if there is a difference in the final settings, and then you can assess the sound differences later. Then you'll know the answer to your question the real way, and may be able to help someone with your new found knowledge later.

welcome!

I installed them on mine about 2000 miles ago. There is a rattle at start up but that goes away when the engine reaches operating temp. I don't expect to adjust them any time soon. Like nath981 says, these bikes have a personality of their own that's why I love this bike.
