How to change rear brake fluid without removing cover

Seized cover bolt prevented removing the cover so.....after laying rags around the area removed master cylinder mounting bolt, inverted cylinder and slid hose clamp out of the way. Removed hose and carefully added fluid while tilting/tapping cylinder, watching for air bubbles. Adding a little at a time until full. Also topped off hose, reattach to cylinder and bled. 3 or 4 times is all it takes to have clean fluid at bleeder on caliper.
