Good Clutch Kit?

Pretty soon I'm going to have to replace my clutch for the first time on my hawk (I'll be riding in second and it will just slip into neutral ). I've been looking at clutch kits but thought I should get an opinion first.

Thanks

That sounds more like a problem with the gear dogs than the clutch.

Yup, sounds like you have a bent shift fork. You will know if your clucth is gone, it simply starts slipping in gear. If you are popping out of second gear, then there is a problem with the tranny.

Well damn
What causes a shift fork to bend?
I mean...it's really random too. Out of nowhere I'll be in neutral.

It is kind of a rider inflicted thing. Usually a bent fork is indicative of hard use or wheelieing.
How long have you had the bike for? It is not common on Superhawks.

I've had the bike since 8/2/07. I bought the bike with 17k and currently have a little over 24k.
How hard is it to replace a bent shift fork? I've read it's a drop the motor type of thing.

Well I would still take a look at the gear dogs, if the corners got rounded (usually from hamfisted, clucthless upshifts) it will tend to pop out of gear and second is usually the gear that it happens on and yes you have to take every damn thing apart to get to it.....
