Frontend swappers rads move query

I am moving my rads back about 3/4" so the hose up top doesn't get squished at full lock. Making little alum plates a la Hawkrider. The bracket underneath that the rads sit on......did any of you swappers extend it? leave it off? what?

I just turned mine back a little and they still fit the way they did before. I think I made my plates a little shorter than yours but they moved the rads back far enough for me. I have an rc51 front end and the hose is no longer in the way.

I moved mine back as well.... pics below...

I had intended to make a new bracket for those bottom attachments between the fairing, rad, and motor... but never did... so far I haven't had any issues with the rads not being held by that bracket...

Cool, thanks SlowH. The strap looks much stronger and easier to make than two little pieces. I'll be doin' that.

I like the 1 piece because it can't move unlike two individual brackets. That rad wil stay where you put it.

Only word of advice is to mark each rad L/R individually before drilling the holes in your bracker... as I found the tabs that hold the rads on were not the same distance apart... (about 1/8" difference).

You'll also need to put a small "S" bend in the bracket... you'll know what I mean as soon as you put some flat stock up against the mounting holes in the frame.
