Checking for opinion, most dealers want to sell you a tire and mount it, I have a new tire but struggling to figure out the best way to lift the forks to get the old tire off, a steering head lift hit the fairing, ft fork lift will not allow axle removal. Anyone jack or brace the bike under the engine or any other better options to change it?

 

What kind of front fork lift do you have or are you thinking about. Mine allow axle removal. Mine are like this:

 

To remove fork tubes, I have used a rear stand and placing a piece of wood between a jack and the oil pan, raise the front. Have to be crazy careful w/ that method as it isn't super stable.

But as said, those front stands usually allow removal of axles.
