Front sprocket

I was just cleaning my drive chain and found out theres a little bit of play in the front sprocket. The play is side to side like if there was missing a washer. I checked in the maintenance manual and there should only be one washer...which I have. Has anyone run into a similar problem? Is this common to this bike? This is the first time I have taken these apart and I want to make shure there's nothing missing. Thanks in advance.

I replaced my chain and sprockets recently. I did measure .011" freeplay on the stock sprocket, and my aftermarket replacement had about .014".

So to answer your question...yes it is normal.
