engine swap saga...continued

In other threads I posted I had a swap done by a shop and the bike was running poorly, they had chopped up the airbox, and pretty sure didn't connect up all the evap stuff correctly, etc...

ok so today I went through all the vacuum lines, removed both evap valves and removed the pair system, and I capped everything off except for the carb vent hoses.

I wonder is it possible that the bike was jetted to run with the vacuum leak I may have had and so now it is too rich?

I had a hard time getting it to start, and once it was started and running (sounded better than before at idle) when I tried to rev it over 3000 or engage the clutch and roll on enough throttle to move it would just die...

Progress...not really, since I went from a shitty running bike with a massive flat spot to a bike that I can't ride anywhere

(for the pair thing I followed the forum guide and flipped the reeds, then removed the hoses and the pair valve itself)

I wish...but I have the hoses marked so I never mix them up (after learning about PVLIR the hard way one time).

So you're back to carbuerators then. Pull the carbs, disassemble, clean, inspect, document and reassemble.

If you have a carb problem let me know, I'm pretty sure I can help you get them sorted.

You can either ask here or shoot me a PM and I'll send you my # if that would be easier for you
