Engine sounding different after CCT installation?

I've read many posts about "the bike" and "the exhaust" sounding different after manual CCT replacement. I did a Krieger CCT swap recently and I don't hear any difference at all, engine, exhaust, nothing. Hot or cold. I understand that a cold engine and a warm engine have different tolerances, but, enough to be able to hear the cam chains while the engine is running or to change the exhaust note? I DO have Jardine high exit pipes. They are on the loud side. I did not follow the Krieger directions. I used the sheet I found here. 4-7mm of chain slack....

Rest easy. 4 to 7 mm. of total vertical movement is fine. Ride your bike. Have fun.

I wish my mind worked THAT way! The wife and I went out for a good ride today out by the Everglades. Nice cool and clear day. We went about 180 miles round trip. No issues. No leaks and no noises except a little from the clutch basket. Now I can relax and enjoy the bike. Thanks.
