Red face The Joys of CCT installation

Helloo all
The bikes been sitting idle for several months now, due to CCT's dying...
I recently built my own CCT's just like the APE's.
And installed them myself.
What an act.
When the instructions on the Infernal Network said put the flywheel to the RT mark, they forgot to mention the 50/50 chance that you will get the stroke that has load on one of the cams...

Now. I hit the wrong 50%.
And so, for the first time in my life, I fiddled with a diesal...
All my experience so far has been during several years racing Strokers. Pure, simple mechanics, without all these bits flapping around in the head.... I can tell you about NSR's all day, but Diesals...
So, After hearing the dreaded 'click' of the camchain skipping a few teeth, I had to pull the rocker cover off, with all that entails...
Sorted the camchain out, CCT in and tensioned, did the CCT on front cyl as well, no probs there. New plugs as well (the old ones were original- 7yr old and 60000km. Well and truly Furked. And the front one had come loose-ish some time since the last service).
Took her out to my olds- 15km each way- enough to let the motor get warmed up.
Sounded good, no camchain noise, but felt a bit flat. Before she used to take off at 5K rpm, now its doesn't.
She also doesn't idle. I'll have to adjust the idle screw tomorrow.
She's also spat a fork seal, and the starter doesn't sound too good.
Oh well. Its good to have two wheels under me again

If it has lost lower the cam may not be perfectly aligned, if they are, well maybe the carbs got a little gummy after sitting for a while.
Maybe burn a few tanks, old gas sucks.

Think it could be the carbs... I'll sort them out this week...
